Lesson Plan
Statement of Standard Four - Instructional Planning and Strategies
“Teachers shall understand instructional planning, design, long- and short-term plans based upon knowledge of subject matter, students, community, and curriculum goals, and shall employ a variety of developmentally appropriate strategies in order to promote critical thinking, problem solving, and the performance skills of all learners" (NJPTSB, 2004, pg. 12)
Name of Artifact: Lesson Plan

Rational Statement:
Writing out a lesson plan completely demonstrated me the different aspects of standard four that were unknown to me. It helped me to understand how important is to plan around a specific time to obtain the maximum out of it. It also showed me the importance of planning with a long-term goal, because day by day we educate our students to become a better person in the future.
I have learned with this artifact the how important is to plan my working lesson for the day because I will be helping my students to become critical thinkers and problem solving masters! I recognize how hard it can be to find the way to teach students along with the NJCCCS because the as a future educator I need to take many areas of education in consideration. I also need to be open to changes in my plan lesson if unexpected situations happen, I need to make personal connections with my students and I have to make sure that every single lesson is a life experience for my students to prepare them for the future.
I truly expect in the future to use my lesson plan to demonstrate my understanding, my commitment and my effort to those who are looking up for help, to learn about my work and to those in need to learn! This is what standard four is about; to incorporate all our capabilities, experiences, knowledge and effort to work for a better future.
